Less than three weeks from his arrival on TNT channel 19, Novo19, the new chain of the Ouest-France group, specifies its ambitions: a regional anchoring, a daily talk show and a grid combining unreleased and programs already known to viewers.
The beginnings promise to be a mixture of homemade creations and reruns, all dressed in a discourse centered on the territories. Monday September 1 at 6 p.m., Novo19 will take the antenna from Rennes, becoming the first national channel to be controlled in the region. Its general manager, Guénaëlle Troly, wants to make it a proximity media, “with rhythm and open speech”, aiming to better reflect life outside Paris.
After a newspaper of about fifteen minutes, Claire Arnoux will launch at 6:25 pm “We have new! », Talk-show of about 75 minutes to decipher the news from a concrete and human angle. This meeting will be rebroadcast every morning and noon to capture an extended audience. It will have the difficult task of facing “C in the air”/”C to you” (France 5), “all beautiful n9uf” (W9) and “Daily” (TMC). “We have something new! Will tell the news up to life: that of the French, their territories, their families. Health, education, culture, daily hassles that feed social issues. Here, the info will be anchored in reality, to tell how it shapes our lives. The talk-show will mix lighting, exchanges and accounts and testimonies with a band of columnists varied ”announces the chain.
Already known programs
Apart from these beaches, Novo19 will be largely based on acquired content: documentary series as “cops: their live life” or “veterinarians: their live life”, already broadcast on NT1, TFX or TF1; American TV movies seen on TF1 and M6; Patrimonial documentaries and popular cinema (“Happiness is in the meadow”, “Erin Brockovich”), or “in the secrets of the monuments of France”, already broadcast on RMC discovered 5 years ago.
