He was one of the last Swiss Hockey Portes without a contract for next season, it didn’t miss it. Even before the start of the 2025-2026 season, Friborg-Gotteron announced that he agreed with Ludovic Waeber in the 2026-2027 season.

The current porter of Kloten signed a four -year lease with the BCF Arena club. Trained in Gottéron, Waeber was a little blocked by Reto Berra during his first seasons in the elite. Leaving on the Zurich side, he established himself as one of the very good gateways of our championship. This pushed him to try his luck across the Atlantic, during the 2023-2024 season, where he played fifteen games from American Hockey League.
Back in the country last year, he had a very good season in Kloten (90.3% of stops). He will therefore keep the cages of Friborg next year. Probably to take over from a Reto Berra (38 years old), which will arrive at the end of the contract at the end of this financial year.
