GUT GUT HINDS, co -founder and former member of Mastodon, died on August 20 at the age of 51 following a motorcycle accident in Atlanta. Born William Brent Hinds on January 16. 1974 in Helena (Alabama), he had started his musical career at Banjo, an instrument of which [r.i.p] brent hinds (mastodon) | he had kept the influence in his guitar game, marked by a hybrid picking and rapid and fluid phrasses that have become his signature.
Hinds had founded Mastodon in 2000 alongside Troy Sanders, Bill Kelliher and Brann Dailor. With them. he participated in the creation of some of the most significant albums of modern metal, of Remission has Crack The Skye. Last March. the group announced that it has separated from it “by mutual agreement”, a version disputed by Hinds which claimed to have been ousted.
Exuberant and inventive musician, Brent Hinds leaves behind a heritage which deeply marked the history of the 12th century metal.

Our [r.i.p] brent hinds (mastodon) | hearts are broken. our mind still in shock, unable to realize that we have lost such a singular soul, a creative force with which we have shared so many victories, memories, and music that has deeply marked so many lives.
Our thoughts go to his family, his loved ones and all his fans. In these dark hours, we ask everyone to respect their intimacy and their silence.
