Chantal, how did you meet Stéphane Lamart and his association?

Are you campaigning against the abandonment of pets?

“In summer, vacationI still don’t understand that people can abandon their animals On the side of the roads. An act that disgusts me, is repugnant. It’s incredible, it’s shameful, it’s scandalous. An animal is a living being who has feelings for you, who gives you love, joy, a presence. How can you open a door and tell him to go. It breaks my heart. Adopting an animal is a commitment is for life. If you do not think you are able to assume this responsibility, do not only do so to respond to a whim, to a fashion. An animal is not a toy. It’s like abandoning your child. ”

But do you also understand certain situations?

“With inflation, the charges that increase, we see that people also have trouble keeping their pet, for lack of financial means, because it becomes heavy to buy food. I know that Stéphane’s association can today help To these people, by accompanying them, by giving them, depending on the stocks available and on presentation of supporting documents, food over a short period, to help them pass a difficult course and avoid them to abandon animals. ”

Do you encourage the public to be united in another way?

“I know that animal reception centers are more and more filled and, therefore, they unlockervolunteers, people who can help to take care of all these abandoned animals to relieve the overwhelmed staff. You do not have to adopt to do a solidarity act if you like animals, you can also bring your presence. We need you to give them food, walk them, play with them, participate in cleaning, tinker to make arrangements, garden, etc. »»
