After several weeks of rumors and uncertainties, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have just officially announced the extension of their partnership with Netflix. A new agreement between the Sussex and the American streaming giant, which promises to extend the audiovisual adventure started in 2020. On the program: season 2 of With Love, Meghana new documentary series and also a film project.
In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle created the event by announcing their partnership with Netflix, through their production company Archewell Productions. An exclusive several million dollars contract, which gave birth to various original creations offering an intimate look at the couple’s life. The event documentary Harry & Meghan, Released in 2022, notably gave an overview of the breaking of the spouses with the royal family. Several documentary series combined commitment, entertainment and revelations, such as Invictus Games: the medals of resilience, Poloand more recently the culinary series With Love, Meghanwhose duchess is the star. Today, Meghan and Harry are continuing their fruitful collaboration with the American streaming giant, with whom they intend to participate in several new productions.
Netflix and the Sussex confirm the extension of their collaboration
Despite the speculation that had been going well for a few weeks and a half-tone audience report, it is official, Netflix and the Sussex announced on August 11 to extend their partnership. Although the amount initiated this time is not as high as in 2020, the new contract nevertheless offers a more flexible right of exclusivity. Each project subject to the platform can be accepted or not, before being offered to any other studios. This new agreement seals the couple’s desire to continue their audiovisual adventure, while allowing Netflix to adjust its content strategy.
As part of this new contract, are provided for the program: an adaptation in a film of the novel Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune, whose couple had bought the rights in 2023, as well as a documentary series on the Masaka Kids, young orphaned dancers from Uganda, expected at the end of 2025. Season 2 of With Love, Meghan Also part of development projects, as well as a special episode on the occasion of the holidays. The adventure is therefore far from over between the Sussex and Netflix!
