“Alrine” by Huroulue Laura Bouchart: a dark novel past from the web to paper edition

This is how I broadcast there, almost ten years ago, my novel “Alrine”. This site has become a way to express myself: everyone can read us and I had a lot of feedback on my book to the point that I tried to have it published. Either I had no answers, or it was positive but it had to be financed yourself (author or participative account).

And then lately, when the new house l & c editions launched a call for manuscripts, I submitted it. They reminded me three months later to tell me that they had loved and that they were going to publish me. I had tears in my eyes because it seemed to me to be an inaccessible dream … “

Having written in self -taught, the Bordeaux edition house will first allow it to improve certain passages to better capture those who will read its 437 pages.

“They accompanied me in order to rework my sets and the psychology of characters. They were excellent advice. I myself was aware of certain faults: as I always want to arrive quite quickly in the fantastic part of writing, I tended to rush the first part which takes place in reality.

With them, so I laid these bases better. An interesting editorial work of two months, a rewriting through exchanges telling me “Such a part is good”, “another requests more tension …”

The novel has also been improved thanks to numerous illustrations punctuating the pages, the graphic designer of the edition house thus helping to immerse the reader even further in the History of Hurllow.

Demonology at the heart of a dark universe

Like a sign, the story of a second life is also what we discover over the pages. Without disclosing, Laura Bouchart lifts the veil on the start of her collection and the intrigue to devour!

“Alrine is the main heroine who does not feel in her place in her world. There is a little bit of me in it, especially since it is written in the first person singular: she is a very unsightly girl and very clumsy. She takes the decision to leave her family cocoon at some point to take her independence. In the building where she moves, she is not very friendly, who is not very friendly. Fear … One day, he will remove it and sequester it in an abandoned house. This is the plausible part of the real world.

Then, this gradually rocks in a specific category of literature, the “Dark Fantasy”, a very dark imagination that our interlocutor acts a lot. “Her neighbor will tell her that she comes from another world and that he will bring her from where she comes …”

As a watermark of reading, this will be an opportunity for the author to integrate centers of interest: “I am interested in the Bible or even the demonology, the study of demons and their world. I have always been very interested in Lucifer, of which I have done my own interpretation. This adapted in my book, it will lead to what the neighbor makes Alrine cross through all the circles of hell …

The book allows you to explore each of the nine circles as described by Dante: lust with the visit of a colorful city populated by bars with neon lights, laziness with a large very soothing forest … A single circle induces suffering, even if the whole involves tensions. “”

A prequel to the neighbor in preparation

A first opus that should lead to a second work: the neighbor of the neighbor will know his own story.

“He will travel in a bunch of countries. This prequel allows me to be interested in other mythologies. I am in the middle of writing but, unlike Alrine, of which I knew what the end would be, here, I don’t know at all and I always put myself in the place of the central character to progress …”

Alrine is only available on Amazon in paper and digital versions.
