It is a French success story as television does not come across every day. A real card with audiences that have exceeded 10 million viewers on the first seasons, this addictive Franco-Belgian series is one of the most popular programs in the little skylight in recent years.
And France is not the only one to have succumbed to this phenomenon. The United States simply loved this incredible story and decided to adapt this program in English, with a new casting but exactly the same scenario and the same characters. If the Americans already viewed this remake last September, France was able to play the game of the seven differences during its first streaming broadcast on our territory, at the beginning of 2025.
As its name suggests, High Potential is a remake of HPI. The intrigue is exactly the same as the series carried by Audrey Fleurot: we follow Morgan, a single mother of three children, with an intellectual quotient of 160. While she works as a cleaning lady in the Los Angeles police premises, her deduction talents are ultimately put to use to resolve a salvo of serious crimes.
Fans of HPI So will know the scenario, but the faces change. The American version features the actress Kaitlin Olson (It’s always sunny in Philadelphia, Hacks) in the main role. She responds to Daniel Sunjata (Graceland, the devil gets dressed in Prada), Javicia Leslie (Batwoman), Deniz Mediterranean (The Flight Attendant) et Judy Reyes (Scrubs).
Like the original in France, this remake obtained rather correct criticism across the Atlantic. For the time being, the Americans have only adapted the first season of HPIin eight episodes. They were more than 11.5 million to follow the adventures of the American Morgan during the first television broadcast and simultaneous streaming. Logically, it has been renewed for a season 2.
