The organizers of the Rubicon Festival, which will be held in July in Bratislava, announced on Monday that the sulphurous American rapper Kanye West will give his only European concert in the Slovak capital. “Visionary of hip-hop, controversial cultural icon and engineering: Ye will perform on July 20, 2025 in Bratislava,” wrote the festival on its website, drawing criticism from associations due to the star’s neonazi statements.
While the festival describes the arrival of the 48 -year -old artist of “global sensation in the heart of Europe”, more than 3,000 people signed a petition against his coming, two associations accusing him of having “openly adhered to the Nazi ideology”. “Kanye West’s concert in our city and our country is an insult to memory and a glorification of degrading violence for the victims,” ​​according to the text.
